Hazardon is a free lifestyle app developed by Arcadia Inc. for iPhone users. It serves as a comprehensive disaster preparedness tool, providing users with a map displaying evacuation centers and hazard areas, as well as receiving notifications from local governments using SpeeCAN Timeline/RAIDEN.
The app allows users to view maps of their current location, evacuation centers, and hazard areas nationwide. It also provides information on the status of evacuation centers, including whether they are open or closed and their occupancy levels. Additionally, users can access location-specific information registered in SpeeCAN Timeline and view seven types of hazard maps, including those for landslides, tsunamis, and flooding. The app also displays information on the distribution of precipitation nowcasts, heavy rain warnings, and flood warnings. Users can even check power outages from Chubu Electric Power and the app supports 13 languages.
One of the key features of Hazardon is its push notification system. Users can receive notifications from local governments using SpeeCAN Timeline/RAIDEN. These notifications alert users when weather conditions, earthquakes, or hazard warnings, such as landslides, flooding, or inundation, are announced for their registered municipalities or specific locations.
Please note that an internet connection is required to access the map information, detailed information on evacuation centers, and receive push notifications through Hazardon.
